Thanks to news reports about pollution, the loss of natural habitats, climate change and the increasing scarcity of resources, the environment has never been a more high-profile issue. How can we make a specifically Christian response to different environmental concerns? For some Christians, the question remains about why we should care for the environment at all. Some even believe that, since this world is only temporary, it doesn’t matter how we treat it. Others believe that we should concentrate our efforts on evangelism, and that everything else is secondary. Neither of these perspectives is supported by the Bible itself.
