Three Studies: 1 Corinthians 5-7
Rose Lynas & Guy Brandon, March 2009
Price: £0.00
The first letter to the Corinthians was written to believers who shared our modern confusion over standards of sexual conduct. The three chapters covered by this set of three studies grapple with deeply personal issues. In it, we discover a message of hope, that in Christ we can live a rich and fulfilling relational life that satisfies the needs both of us as individuals and of those around us. Explore with us as we seek to understand not just ‘what is permissible’, but what is fair and best for us and wider society and, ultimately, what brings glory to God.

Nick Spencer, January 2005
Price: £0.00
Able to stand on its own, but written to accompany the chapter on transport and mobility in 'Votewise: helping Christians engage with the issues' (SPCK 2004), this study explores the biblical emphasis upon rootnedness in place as well the exceptional call of God to 'leave your father's household'. It encourages us to reflect on how the principle of rootnedness might find application more generally in society today.

Bible Studies: From generation to generation: looking at old age
Jubilee Centre Publications, January 1989
Price: £0.00

Bible Studies: Putting families first
Jubilee Centre Publications, January 1989
Price: £0.00
The aim of these four studies is to answer the question 'Who cares?' The balance between the different responsibilities to our families of government, church and family are addressed. In the story of Naboth's vineyard the responsibility of the state to protect family roots was usurped by a scheming Jezebel. In the second study we see how caring for the family had been neglected under the guise of religious responsibilities. The third study discusses the respective role of church and family in caring for dependent relatives or other dependent individuals. The final study encourages us to see our responsibilities to the immediate family in learning to live and grow together.

Bible Studies: Why keep Sunday special?
Jubilee Centre Publications, January 1989
Price: £0.00
These four studies are designed to help Christians understand the biblical roots of the Sunday question. The first study discusses the meaning of the sabbath to Israel and applies the underlying principles to today. The second study investigates God's view of Israel's success or failure to uphold the sabbath. The third study takes two particular examples and contrasts the response of Nehemiah and Jesus to the question of sabbath observance. The final study looks at Paul's teaching on 'special days'.
