The Social Reformers Summer Gathering is for Christians in their 20s and 30s to discover how their faith can influence public life. It will inspire you with stories of Christian social reformers from the past, equip you with a biblical strategy and principles for transformation in the present, and help you take steps personally towards becoming a social reformer in the future.
This year our theme is ‘The Good of Politics’. Over the past few years, we’ve seen a growth in indifference and negativity towards politics and politicians. Constant news cycles about the wrongs of politics can become a self-fulfilling prophecy. But from a Christian perspective, to govern is a vocation, just like the vocation to ministry or teaching. This gathering is a chance to affirm the vocation of public service—after all, the terms ‘minister’ and ‘civil servant’ suggest that these are jobs intended for good of our societies.
For those interested in learning how they can be social reformers, this is an opportunity to shape your vision and gain inspiration for how to start.
The Summer School is a remarkable investment into your understanding of culture and into your journey to influence it for the kingdom.
Anyone with even the most nebulous questions about being a Christian in the public square should seriously consider going.
